“The Captain” is what they call their Bloody Mary at The Darling. And it has earned its title. Almost a meal in itself, the drink features a king crab claw, crab leg, shrimp, a hushpuppy, celery, olives, and lime. The Captain is only available during brunch. Try it or one of their oyster shooters with one of their entrees.

Well actually, three of the best since there are three varieties to choose from: bacon (so you can still get that meat fix), pickled, and Sambai cilantro. Brunch is served Saturday and Sunday from 8 am – 2 pm featuring items like their pimento cheese filled home fries, buttermilk biscuits and Redneck Benedict.

#5 Three Little Birds

With a mantra like “Peace, Love, and Pancakes” expect nothing but good things at this southern cafe. With items on the menu like Peanut Butter, Banana, & Honey Stuffed Challah French Toast and Roasted Red Pepper Chicken Sausage Scramble, you can’t go wrong. Join them for breakfast as late as 3 pm any day and 2 pm on Sundays.
