Best Rooftop Bars With a View in Downtown Charleston

The weather is warming up and so is our desire to enjoy a cocktail with a view. Experience Charleston from above at one of the best rooftop bars in downtown Charleston.

Citrus Club

Citrus Club sits on top of The Dewberry hotel and just happens to be the highest rooftop bar in Charleston. Not only do they provide delicious craft cocktails and small plates for guests to enjoy but also allow you to soak in a 360-degree view of the Holy City.

Élevé

Located on the roof of the Grand Bohemian Hotel, Élevé is known for their fun and eccentric decor – perfect for a photo op with friends. Sip on one of their specialty cocktails while savoring an appetizing meal on their rooftop garden setting, where their “vibrant cuisine takes on a gypsy twist.”

Pavilion Bar

Nothing says summertime like enjoying a cocktail by the pool. The Pavilion Bar atop the Market Pavilion Hotel has got you covered. Relax by their pool with a craft cocktail in hand. Most known for their mojitos and martinis, the Pavilion Bar is the best place to spend a warm day in Charleston, taking in the views and the drinks.

Revelry Brewing

If craft cocktails aren’t your thing, check out the craft brews at Revelry Brewing. Grab a cold craft beer and soak in the sun (or catch a stunning sunset) on their dog-friendly rooftop bar at their NoMo location. They also have a food truck onsite that offers appetizing bites for patrons to enjoy.

The Rooftop Bar at Vendue

Awarded “Best Rooftop Bar” By Charleston City Paper since 2007, the Rooftop Bar at the Vendue Hotel provides guests with a two-level experience. In addition, each cocktail has a familiar base with a unique twist like their Red Moon Margarita, which includes jalapeño infused tequila with a blood orange puree.

Hop on the Charleston Brewery District Trolley This Saturday!

Featured Image Source: Charleston City Paper

Everyone’s heard of a pub crawl, but there’s a new way to enjoy drinks on the move. This Saturday, enjoy a ride on the Charleston Brewery District Trolley, a free(!) trolley that stops at nine different taprooms brimming with local craft beer. This delicious idea is the result of all nine breweries working together, providing a trail that winds through the Charleston Brewery District, located near the Neck Area of the peninsula.

The trolley began running in late February, and currently runs from 1-9 p.m. on Saturdays between the close-knit community of breweries. The route begins at Tradesman, followed by Edmund’s Oast Brewing Co., Cooper River, Palmetto, Baker & Brewer, Revelry, Fatty’s, Lo-Fi and Munkle.

Need advice on what to drink? Here are some recommended brews for each location!

Tradesman Brewing Company: Transmission Fluid Wheat Ale

Edmund’s Oast Brewing Co.: Bound by Darkness Black IPA

Cooper River Brewing: Barley Wine

Palmetto Brewing Co.: Huger Street IPA

Baker & Brewer: Lake Hopper Cider

Revelry Brewing: Gullah Cream Ale

Fatty’s Beer Works: Sea Dog Gose

Lo-Fi Brewing: Glitter Pony

Munkle Brewing Company: Pout House Hoppy Ale

We’re big believers in shopping local, eating local, and drinking local so we love the abundance of breweries in the Lowcountry. We were happy when these awesome craft beer spots started popping up around the city and we’re even bigger fans now that many of them are canning their beer. Now we can leave happy hour with a six-pack and continue the party at home.

Here are some of our favorite canned beers:

Palmetto Brewing

Starting today, pints of our core brand beers are now $4 in our Taproom on weekdays! (Monday-Thursday) Which beer are you having?
