The 5 Most Instagram-Worthy Spots In Charleston For Your Fall Pictures

Featured Image Source: Flickr

With beautiful beaches, historic architecture and cobblestone streets, Charleston is the perfect backdrop for any photoshoot. Mix the charm of Charleston with the natural beauty of the fall season and your IG feed will have your followers in awe.

Here are five spots around Charleston that are perfect for your planned or impromptu photoshoot.

Rainbow Row

This historic residential area in Charleston is one of the most popular places for pictures year-round. Vibrantly colored houses line East Bay Street just waiting for you to take your picture. Even though the pastel colors of the houses might seem more like a spring or summer theme, with the right fall outfits and the perfect angle, Rainbow Row can give you the best fall pictures you could ask for!

The Rooftop Bar at The Vendue

The Vendue holds Charleston’s most popular rooftop bar for a reason: the views. Overlooking the Charleston Harbor, Waterfront Park, the Arthur Ravenel Jr. Bridge, and virtually all of downtown, there is no better place to grab a cocktail and snap some pictures. As the weather gets colder, windy skyline pics can be a great addition to your fall photoshoot, making the rooftop bar a must-stop on this list.

Magnolia Plantation

The most nature-centric location on this list, Magnolia Plantation, provides massive trees and rustic buildings for your pictures this fall. With America’s last large-scale romantic-style garden, Magnolia Plantation will give you all of the natural views of fall from falling leaves to autumn flowers. Pumpkin patches and the plantation’s fall events can add an extra touch to your pictures as well!

Pitt Street Bridge

Hidden in Mount Pleasant’s Old Village, Pitt Street Bridge shoots out into the water with views of the Charleston Harbor and the Ravenel Bridge. This old trolley bridge is enough for some fall pictures, offering plenty of benches, docks, and wildlife, giving you a marsh background on one side and the harbor on the other.

The Battery

We close the list with another popular place for pictures year-round. The Battery, right down the road from Rainbow Row, boasts huge winding trees and even larger houses in the background. While the Battery is a hotspot for wedding pictures, any fall photos can be taken here, with the right fall props and the use of the changing nature around you!
